I just finished my end of the year parent conferences and they were an absolute delight. I did something different. Instead of telling parents how their children are doing in school I asked them how they thought they were doing. Then we compared to my feedback and it was a match. It was absolutely heart warming to hear that children take pride in their work and show parents what they learned in school, particularly cued speech! I feel like a proud hen 🙂 !
The parents appreciated the way I update thm on their children’s progress and everybody loved the pictures I send out regularly. I received many comliments on my classroom design. I happened to agree. Having designed my own classroom, I love coming to work every day. It’s my home away from home. My Montessori home, The Iris Room.
